Protein Packed Peach Smoothie and other recipes
Prepare a protein packed, fruit filled smoothie to combine with a hearty scone for a delicious snack or breakfast. Together this smoothie and chocolate cinnachip scone provide a protein punch of over 10 grams! We found this recipe at Allrecipes.com but there are many more using raspberries, strawberries and even green smoothies that sneak in a few more servings of veggies.
We used unsweetened almond milk, almond butter, a peach and half of a banana. You can tailor it to fit what's in your refrigerator or in your fruit basket. Start cooking that scone while you are pulling ingredients together and everything will be ready at the same time. Easy clean up and homemade always make meal time fun.
1 peach, cut into slices removing pit
1/2 peeled banana, cut into slices
1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 tablespoon almond butter
Water as needed
Combine all ingredients in a blender: blend until smooth, adding water for a thinner smoothie.
